Google launches Fiber TV: DVR with Apps, Cloud Storage and free Nexus 7

Google has announced Fiber TV today alongwith the new super-fast internet in Kansas City. Fiber TV will be an entirely redesigned experience of TV watching, with the ability to watch and record all the channels you expect, via Google’s new network. Unfortunately, Fiber’s current channel listings don’t include ESPN, AMC, and a few others. You’ll be able to record 500 hours of TV with the 2TB storage, and can record eight shows all at once.

Get Google’s new Android tablet, the Nexus 7, free with this package. Go beyond your standard remote’s search and discovery experience. Seamlessly watch on your tablet in other rooms of your house.

The Fiber TV plan costs $120 / month, plus a $300 construction fee. But if you sign a two-year contract, the construction fee is waived.
