President Obama and Mitt Romney launch iOS apps

It would not be complete for a modern political race without a couple new mobile apps. Now that the Election Day is less than 100 days away, a new Obama for America app for iOS launched yesterday, and it provides users with facts on President Barack Obama’s policies, help for finding local events, coverage of breaking news, Sign up to volunteer, and access to voting and registration rules by state.

Romney also plans to dish out the facts with a new app, but his offering will notably act as the primary distribution channel for the announcement of his vice presidential nominee. Mitt’s VP is available for iPhone and Android, and it allows users to sign in to the app with their MyMitt or Facebook account, push notifications on your phone to ensure you get the exclusive news, Share from the app to earn exclusive merchandise and content When Mitt makes his VP choice, you’ll get the news alert first.
